At least once a week someone comes in with a cell phone that was dropped in water. In most cases, this is the end of the story. The solution - get another phone!

Before you do that do this:

1) Do NOT turn your phone on. Leave it off and remove the battery.

2) Get yourself a jar of distilled water and soak your phone in the DISTILLED water.

3) Bring the phone to us for drying. Many times we can save your phone!

The reason for this is that distilled water is a non-conductor of electricity (it is the minerals in water that makes it a conductor). By cleaning with mineral free water, you can often eliminate shorting and circuit damage, plus you reduce the potential of mold (gray, green or black as applicable) from growing inside your phone.
