We're changing to serve you!

We've changed.......

the way we do business to better serve you.  Like many others, we started as a dealer or reseller for others.  Over time, the terms changed and we were called a channel partner (still a dealer), and more recently as we combined one or more products and services to fit a specific need, we were known as a VAR or Value Added Reseller.

Now, we have changed again.  This time, we have defined our own function.  Our new role is as a TECHNOLOGY PARTNER with services that can change depending on your needs.  In our new role, we are a manufacturer of our own specialized products, a consultant for those who need such services, a maintenance and service provider for communications equipment, a channel partner with some of the best companies in the USA, and a value added reseller for software and support.  This gives us unparalleled flexibility in meeting YOUR needs.

I'll give you example.  In the past, we aligned ourselves with a single wireless network provider (cell phone company to the lay person) and attempted to sell their services regardless of competitive position.  We dont do that any more.  We will give you a fair evaluation of ALL the cellular services available for voice and data and let you choose the one best for you.  We will even give you alternatives that you may not have considered.  The main point is that we can be totally objective and this service is absolutely FREE!

Software is another area where we have changed our thinking.  When choosing software for CAD, Citations. GPS, mobile data, on-line reporting, or records management, it has historically been a matter of choosing the software vendor best suited to your needs.  We have experimented with representing several different vendors with varying levels of success.  The problem is the difficulty in determining the right vendor for varying customer needs.

For example, Intergraph is a great company with products well suited for larger agencies, but not for smaller departments.  BellSouth claims simplicity and great service.  Again, this may be true, but the one-size fits all approach does not meet the needs of all customers.  Large companies such as Vision have a focus that does not include the needs of many of our customers and the smaller providers depending on one or two software writers put their customers at significant risk in terms of support and long-term viability.

We concluded that the best approach in providing software was one of providing service on a fee based approach whereby our customers pay only for what they need on a month-to-month basis. If you are considering any type of public safety software, we invite you to check us out. You may be in for a very pleasant surprise!

Where we resell products for others, such as Motorola, we select only those products that we feel are suited to the long-term needs of our customers.  Its tough to resist selling the product with the newest feature, but through experience, we have found there is a price to pay when you venture too far from traditional standards.

In the fourth quarter of 2003, we began developing strategic alliances with selected agencies for the purpose of assisting in long-term Homeland Security goals involving partnerships between public safety, educational, healthcare, transportation, and corporate entities.  In our role as technology partner, our roles can be that of a consultant, provider, administrator, or all three functions as mutually agreed.  We call this The Alliance Program.  For more information, just give us a call at 1-800-489-2611.

Another program developed for improved community safety was developed in late October of 2003 to utilize federal grant money with the matching share to be paid by corporate sponsors.  Other programs of this type will be developed on an on-going basis.

In the areas of regulatory affairs (FCC changes, licensing, narrow band requirements, etc.), we have made the effort to keep up with the changes that effect YOU and we share this information with those who are on our Newsletter list on a timely basis.  If you are not already subscribed to receive our monthly email newsletter, we invite you to sign up using the simple sign-up box below.

Lastly, we recognize the need for affordable and efficient service on your existing equipment.  If you would like to know how you can better service for less, send us an email to bfalkner@bham.rr.com.  Youll be glad you did!

On the taskbar at the left, we have provided information on some of our products and services that we think you will find to be of interest.  Thanks for visiting with Falcon Wireless!
