Michelle Hampton at your service!

We offer three types of paging - on-site, primarily for use by churches, healthcare, and administrative users, Wide area paging service is available metro, statewide, regional, or national depending on your needs with a choice of numeric or text messaging capability. Lastly, we offer 2-way text messaging service with "email on the go" capability.

On-Site Paging

On-site paging has long been used by restaurants for notifying guests when tables were ready. A higher-powered version is available for use by churches (nursery to parent notification), healthcare facilities for direct communications with staff, in manufacturing plants, and by nursing homes with the paging receivers adapted to be alerted when a call for assistance is initiated by a resident. Auto dealers use these systems for elimination of noise pollution, even hair care salons! The application list is limited only by your imagination.

When help is needed.......

you can get it in a hurry if you have AirLINC!  The high cost of wiring, both for new construction as well as existing structures has created a need for a new concept in emergency alerting service for the healthcare industry.  Falcon Wireless has responded to this need by developing a whole new family of products known as AirLINC!

Notifier I, Tone or Vibrate alert receiver

There are many variations of AirLINC.  The cornerstone of the system is the receiver worn by the person needing to be notified.  This might be a nurse, maintenance person, security officer, administrator or even a family member awaiting notice from a hospital emergency room, same day surgery unit, or maternity unit.   It is called a NOTIFIER!  It looks like what you might call a pager, but there is a significant difference between a NOTIFIER and a pager!

Mainly, there are no monthly airtime charges associated with a NOTIFIER.  Additionally, there are no delays in message processing associated with public dial-up paging systems.  There are several different versions of the NOTIFIER beginning with the basic alert model that responds to a selective signal initiated by an associated sending terminal.  The basic model can be set for either audible or vibrate alert mode when activated.  Upon receipt of a vibrate or tone alert, the user responds by returning to a prearranged point.  The basic NOTIFIER is well suited for use by family members in the emergency room, maternity ward, or same day surgery unit.  This basic unit is known as NOTIFIER I.  The price is just $89 including a three year warranty.  Add just $18 per year for Next Day Exchange service.  If you ever have a problem, just give us a call.  We send UPS call tags for pick up of the defective unit and send a replacement for arrival the next business day anywhere in the USA!

NOTIFIER I receivers are supplied with our exclusive Auto-Off storage case with provisions for up to 25 receivers.  The Auto-Off case automatically switches the receiver to the OFF condition when the receiver is inserted in the storage case.  The receiver turns on automatically when it is removed from the case.  There are no on-off switches, no chargers, and no complicated routines.  Battery life is dependant on user requirements. The NOTIFIER I receiver uses a standard AAA alkaline battery that can provide up to six months of service before replacement.

Notifier II numeric display pager

Advanced level pagers are also available.  The Notifier II has the ability to provide a tone or vibrate alert plus the ability to display a numeric message indicating a room number, extension, or other information that can be presented in a numeric format.  Priced at $99, this is one of our most popular models.  Optional N.D.E. Next Day Exchange service adds $18 annually.

Notifier III provides alphanumeric text message capability.  Messages sent from a keyboard option through our standard NotiSender terminal, from software on a PC or dial-up phone terminals can send full text messages of up to 80 characters to the Notifier III.  These pagers are priced at $129 with N.D.E. optionally available at $18 annually.

For those who prefer voice paging, the new Notifier IV converts alphanumeric text messages to VOICE!   These pagers are especially well suited for use by the blind.  These pagers are $299 including first year N.D.E. service.

NotiSender paging terminal

After years of development, we have finished our new NotiSender paging terminal.  Suffice it to say that we have experienced just about every problem possible with early version terminals.  Years ago, we were among the first users of the Motorola PeopleFinder and CourtesyCall terminals.  Both were good and both were pricey!

Our first endeavor in building our own terminal was the Enterprise I.  It worked well and many are still in service today, almost a decade after delivery of the first units.  Over time, we found that the cost of limited production manufacturing was prohibitive and we sourced production with other companies including BritePage and Visiplex but we were never satisfied. We have continued development of a second generation terminal.  That terminal is here today. It is called NotiSender and there is nothing else quite like it!

NotiSender I is a 2-watt UHF-FM terminal using the worldwide standard POCSAG coding format originally developed by the British Post Office. There are some significant features incorporated in the NotiSender I that may not be immediately apparent, beginning with the antenna.  Until the development of the NotiSender I, virtually all manufacturers used a 90-degree elbow connector for the antenna.  The reason is that earlier designs required the antenna connector to come out the side or back of the terminal due to space limitations.  This caused several major problems.  One of them is known as RFI or Radio Frequency Interference, a condition caused by emitting high levels of RF energy into the coding and display components of the terminal.  Another problem was the elbow connector that often failed due to the bending of the internal wiring.  This resulted in poor performance.  Both of these problems have been resolved with the NotiSender.  The antenna is on the top! Sometimes the simple solutions are the best solutions!

Notifier sending screen

Next, we addressed the issue of coding capacity. We don't all have the same needs, so we built the NotiSender I to do what YOU want it to do!  The NotiSender IA has a capacity to serve a maximum of 12 receivers.  Small users will appreciate the fact that signaling a unit requires only two keystrokes.

There are no complicated instructions to learn.  Everything you need to know is on the screen.  If you are using NotiSender IA, the display screen shown above prompts you to enter the desired unit number followed by pressing the SEND key, or the CLEAR key if you made a mistake.

NotiSender IB has the capacity to send up to 99 alert codes using a two digit number code.  NotiSender III, our most popular model can activate up to 999 pagers with either individual or group calling capability.  The fact is that you can have coding capacity to meet any requirement up to a maximum of seven digits for signaling every possible POCSAG code.  This model is very popular for use by service technicians.  The price?  The same for all models - just $595 and you can return your NotiSender anytime within the 3-year warranty period for an upgrade or downgrade as desired.

You also have a choice of signaling.  If you want simple tone or vibrate alert only, add the suffix T.  If you will be using numeric display pagers, add the suffix N.  The price is the same for both models.  If you want to send alphanumeric text messages, you will need a full text keyboard with connector.  This is a $50 option.  Add suffix A when ordering.

You also have a choice of power levels.  The standard NotiSender is set for an output of 2 watts and is supplied with an on-site license as required by the Federal Communications Commission.  Power levels above 2 watts require a site specific license.  Details are available at www.fcc.gov.  If you prefer the optional 4 watt model, add the suffix 4 at the end of the model number and send us a copy of your FCC license when ordering.  Add $50 for the 4 watt model.  If you want even higher power, we offer models rated at 10, 25, 45, and 100 watts on request.  Price will vary depending on the power level selected and the limitations of your FCC license.

If you want a high power FCC authorization and do not have an existing license, you can file directly to the FCC; a time consuming and expensive process not recommend for non-professionals.  The better alternative, in our opinion, would be to call a professional licensing assistance service.  One of the better ones is Josie Lynch at 301 309-2380.

Other models of the NotiSender can be connected to a PC Ethernet network or provided with a dial-up modem for connection from touch dial telephones.  Call 1-800-489-2611 or send us an email to sales@falconwireless.net  for additional information.

D-Connector swich controlled paging terminal

There are two basic wireless methods to call a person or group.  We have presented one of the ways we provide this capability, with our NotiSender terminal, using an operator to send the message.  This type of operation is known as direct operator control.  When the terminal is accessed by a PC, PC network, or by phone line, the operation is known as remote operator control.

Messages can also be sent by a user, such as a hospital patient or nursing home resident requiring assistance.  The user would summon assistance either by pressing a call button or via a sensor connected to some type of monitoring device.

Wired nurse call systems are a form of user control devices.  Typically these systems are wired although this is not always the preferred alternative.  In those cases where the nurse call system is wired, the signal typically appears at a nursing station display unit and sometimes as a flashing light and/or audible alert at the entrance to the patients room.  These systems can be connected to an interface terminal that extends the call to a wireless receiver.  Some nurse call system providers optionally offer such devices, typically at considerable additional cost.

Falcon Wireless offers a more affordable alternative, known as D-Connector.  This device is activated by a switch closure or RS232 interface.  When a change of status condition is detected from the nurse call system, D-Connector senses the change and sends a preprogrammed message to the associated pager/person automatically.

D-Connector is compatible with most nurse call systems and works with all Falcon Wireless as well as many competitive pagers.  The price is $495 including simple installation instructions.  Installation service is optionally available within a 100 mile radius of Birmingham, Alabama.

D-Call, when you need help in a hurry!

Although most modern hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living centers are pre-wired for nurse call systems, many are not.  Also, the expanding needs of a growing elderly population sometimes require temporary use of other rooms or wings that are not wired.

As a temporary measure, or as a cost effective alternative in existing structures, we offer a wireless alternative known as D-Call.    In this application, the patient is supplied with a wireless sending unit equipped with two buttons one for assistance, the black button, and the red button for emergency calling only.

The price of each sending unit is just $349, actually less than the cost of a wired system.  Each unit is specifically coded to address the caregiver for that floor or unit.  When desired by the user, the sending units can also send a secondary coded call to a supervisor, backup caregiver or members of an emergency response team.

The associated receiver normally used has full alphanumeric text message display capability and is priced at $129 plus our optional full service next day exchange plan at $18 annually.  A similar plan is available on the sending unit for $53 annually.

If you have a need in on-site wireless communications not addressed by the aforementioned systems, just give us a call.  We have other systems not listed here and we are available for custom design work if required.
